Le Creuset Made in France |
Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Cookware has been made at the factory in Fresnoy-Le-Grand in Northern France since 1925. Each piece of Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Cookware is individually made by a process of hand-casting molten cast iron in sand molds. After casting, the mold is destroyed and the cookware is polished by hand and inspected for imperfections. Only the pieces meeting strict quality standards are sent for enameling. The items are sprayed with enamel and fired at 800°C, two times. This produces an extremely hard and durable surface which is virtually resistant to damage during normal use.
Le Creuset cast iron provides exceptional cooking characteristics of even heat distribution and heat retention. It is suitable for use with all cooking surfaces, including induction. Cast iron is energy efficient; once hot it requires a low heat setting to maintain temperature. The enamel surface is not penetrated by acids or other chemicals making it suitable for marinating or storing foods in the refrigerator or freezer.
Freezer, oven, stovetop, grill... you will love the performance and versatility of Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Cookware
