Onion soup

Ingredients



  • 30 g butter

  •  800 g onions, peeled and thinly sliced

  • 200 g sliced mashroom

  • Beef stock & Mashroom stock according to taste



  •  freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 small French loaf, cut into small slices

  • 125 g grated Swiss cheese

  • 1 litre water

 

Method

Place butter in a 2-litre oven dish. Cook on Jet Cooking for 1 minute. add onions and cook on Jet Cooking for 6 to 8 minutes. Add flour, stir well and cook on Jet Cooking for 1 minute. Gradually stir in stock, wine and black pepper. Cook on Jet Cooking for a further 10 to 12 minutes. Preheat overn on GRILL. Place slices of bread onto grill tray and cook on GRILL for 3 minutes. Place bread on top of soup and sprinkle with cheese. Cook on GRILL for 4 to 5 minutes, or until cheese has melted and is slightly golden.
